The idea and concept of De Stijl eyewear is inspired by the Dutch art movement, founded in 1917. In our design we follow in the footsteps of the legendary artists who revolutionized the art world in the 1920s. Like them, we seek harmony, structure, and order through the use of geometric shapes and color balance. The elegant interface of pure geometry, refined coloring, functional details and sustainable comfort has become our hallmark and heritage.

VISUAL LANGUAGE
The De Stijl movement envisioned a universal visual language – an ideal fusion of form and function. Their expression was partly a reaction against the decorative and eclectic Art Deco, but like any other avant-garde movements of the time, De Stijl, was born as a response to WW1 and a vision to remake society through art.
